Money is not an object in that USC will match any pay he gets at Atlanta.

Which is why the NCAA is so damn hypocritical in worrying about what Reggie Bush and his parents my have done to get a few bucks from agents. Coaches get paid millions and seem to have the all the loyalty of a sewer rat to their teams and fans. The schools themselves would step on their own grandmother to get the tens of millions that come from major bowl games, but the kids who actually go onto the field each week to preform are supposed be pristine when there are blizzards of cash blowing all around them.

I'd love them to stop the damn charade and just declare the Div 1 schools to be semi-professional and stop playing the student-athleate fraud. Just be honest and admit that the NCAA is nothing but the NFLs farm system and go from there.

You've got that right. The way I see it, the majority of college football players (at least in the major football programs) aren't students who have the chance to play football -- they're football players who have the chance to go to school.

For some, that privilege is obsolete since they'll be making millions in the future anyways. Many others take advantage of that privilege and earn degrees. And others, well, don't.
