To me, everything that Huck says sounds like a lie...even if it’s not a lie.
As Huck makes things up he is convinced what he says is the truth.
Huck looks sneaky. I don’t know what it is. I think he tries so hard to be sincere that it seems phony. Phony is a cousin to sneaky.
You nailed it. He always sounds like he’s lying and like he’s repeating prepped lines even when he’s talking person to person. There is no mano a mano with Huckabubba. And I’m definitely NOT knocking the evangelicals, but in my opinion when he stepped into politics, he ceased being a minister. Oh, he may still be a preacher but you can be one of those and a liar, too...but not a minister.
