Oh please, you’re talking to someone who has a LONG line of military service and a son who served in Iraq and this family knows damn well about what patriotism means. I’m standing beside my country, period. And I know dang well exactly what a Democrat win will do to this country, our military and the future of our children and grandchildren. I place that above all else. Period. And that means the Democrats CANNOT take over the presidency!
Does it go back to serving beside then General Washington during the American Revolution? Mine does. You ain't standing by the country, you're standing by Rats with lipstick and demanding everyone else put your shade of it on.
Well, I don't cotton to dressed up rats....they still be rats.
A babe? Your comment says a lot about you. I've lived on this earth longer than two months, SONNY, and your comment isn't worth a hill of beans.
lol
And you think yours does?
not.
Go play with someone else, nicky.
expend your lectures on someone else, babe.
I will, BABY.
fofl!
Is it really a choice between sick and dead? REALLY? I am not so sure. I don't think Hillary is strong enough to pull a Wilson/FDR/LBJ type of leap. I think that McCain, on the other hand, is strong enough to pull off that sort of thing. His idol is Teddy Roosevelt, the first real anti-free market, big government Republican.
A President Hillary will have two choices: Feed the insatiable socialists in the nut roots or attempt to expand socialism by increments. If she doesn't feed the nuts she will face internecine battles that will rage far beyond those in today's Republican party. If she does feed the commie nutball nutroots, she will anger and alienate the people and face neutering from a Republican wave in congress. If so, perhaps this time around the Republicans can live up to the promises they made in 94.
Then again, maybe she lets some terrorists set a nuke off in flyover country, declares martial law, and we all have to learn to march funny. Or maybe she appoints John Edwards to the Supreme Court.
I seriously just threw up in my mouth a little. Blech, just considering either Hillary or McCain as President is turning my stomach. GO FRED!
“Go Hunter!! Go, FRed, GO!!”
Here’s to you, Mr. Robinson!
Say a voter is registered to vote in the state of California as “Decline to state”. Should they switch back to registering as a Republican if there’s time before the February primary or should they ask for a Dem ballot to throw a monkey wrench in the plans of the Dems? Inquiring minds want to know.
(spits at the dawg),,,(cockin’ his pistols)...;0(...grrrrrr.
hehehe.
Hold 'em.....you may need the ammo for later. : )
Interesting. I happen to agree about Fred and Hunter. I like both of them and would vote for either in a heartbeat. As of now anyway. I’m undecided on the others. I’m not impressed by any of them. McCain is strong on defense, served in the Military, etc., and I respect that, however I can’t stand anything else about him. My Dad was a WWII vet and couldn’t stand McCain so I’m biased there. I like that Romney is a family man but his voting record concerns me, as does Rudy’s and McCain’s. Rudy was an awesome Mayor for NYC and I respected him, his leadership, especially during 9-11. I think he accomplished wonderful things as Mayor. I don’t know much about Huckabee but what I know I don’t like.
I don’t know who can win against whom come November. I’d rather have a republican with a shot at winning in the election as well as a republican conservative. Thus, I’m really undecided right now unless Hunter or Fred are the choices.
When I’m considering the issues that are most important to me, national defense/security is tops on my list (and that includes border security, no amnesty for illegals, no gun control for civilians who have the right to own and use guns, etc.). Life, or pro life is next, because if we can’t protect the most innocent - the unborn, the children, then we’re so screwed up it’s difficult to see beyond that imo. It’s not about a woman’s right to choose or gender issues, it’s about innocent human life that we just don’t value.
I don’t want Hillary or Obama or Edwards as the next President but I really don’t want a dem majority in Congress either. Politics, and most politicians, suck imo. It’s gone beyond them caring about our country to their individual interests. It’s depressing and disgusting.
I don’t trust any of them at this point.
Thanks for the ping. RINOs are ruining this party.

Why the smart money is on Duncan Hunter

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

This thread is about President, not Vice President. I don't think that any of these you have listed would make a credible Presidential candidate.
I would be happy to support a Conservative in a third party, however, and in the scenario you bring up, I would hope a third party rises up.
If it is Giuliani, Romney, or McCain, I would almost guarantee a third party would rise up.
:0)
“If there’s no FRed and no Hunter and we’re left with the four headless RINOs, then what?”
God help us.
On the other hand, I think both Mitt and Rudy would like to have the support of all the coalition and if elected would try to genuinely reflect that in their governing. And they both know they do not "measure up" to parts of the party.
That's what I sense based on listening to all the debates and observing all of them on TV etc.
Jim, you said the question was posed to you last night. Was it one of the ones I posted on my vanity thread, or were you asked it also by someone else?

“If Hunter drops out, hell most likely endorse Fred. If Hunter drops, then Fred drops, we will all be pissed if the first scenario comes true, and there is no conservative in the race.”
