Bush making Condi Sec of State is just like Clinton having made Madeleine Halfbright Sec of State, a very bad move. Both think they were being PC by giving the job to a woman, and both totally ignored the fact that the whole MidEast looks down on women as nothing more than chattel, and would give little to no credence to anything either Halfbright or Condi would say. They don’t respect women, so why would the Arab world respect what they say? Olmert did the same thing by appointing a woman to the equivalent position in Israel. These PC idiots are going to be the death of us one day. You don’t argue from a position of weakness, and by making our primary envoys women in a total man’s world in the Middle East, all we do is lower respect for our country and create a situation where they laugh behind our backs for our weakness and consider us fools. Give the Arabs an inch and most will take a yard. Condi and Bush whose ear she is whispering in, are a deadly duo IMO.
