Hiya!

I'm still laughing about Kerry endorsing Obama.

So if Romney gets the nod, you effectively will give the vote to the Dem?

Face it:

Romney is the best of a bad lot of choices for conservatives. He is a superb, rational, goal-oriented executive with a superb track record of both provate and pubic-sector success. He may seen to be a flip-flopper, but he did the best that could be done as governor of a Blue state with a veto-proof Democrat majority. Moreover, at least he says the right things — which is more than can be said of Giuliani, Huckabee or McCain.

McCain is pro-amnesty and pro-taxes, and too fond of Ted Kennedy.
Thompson (whom I would prefer) is going nowhere.
Hunter (whom I would also prefer) is going nowhere.

Huckabee is pro-amnesty and pro-taxes
Giuliani, great executive, but too flaky, and with a past that is too easy to trash.

FYI — for you social conservatives — please note that the president has no role to play in the COnstitutional amendment process. So a president’s impact on gay marriage is going to be nil. Also, the only impact a president can have on abortion is in SCOTUS picks. I trust Romney to pick strict constructionists more than I trust McCain, Huckabee or Giuliani.

Also, I think Romney will make Obama and Hillary look ridiculous on policy debates in the general election.

Flame away.

No flame from this social conservative (and Hunter supporter), you say what many of us are thinking IMHO.

So delicious!

The endorsement - not the pizza.

VEEEERY INTERESTING....

I suspect this endorsement had more to do with their business relationship than the tepid and generic endorsement that Monaghan gave him, citing family values that could have been applied to three or four of the candidates.

If you keep voting for Rinos, all we will ever get are Rinos.

There’s a reason why these people (who know what to invest in) are supporting Mr. Romney.

Rush has spoken well about emotional attachments this week and I think that there are some at FR who can’t stand seeing two very good men/candidates lose (Fred/Hunter). I understand the feeling.

I think we need to let this play out a bit more.

See reply #5. Monaghan is and always has been, staunchly pro-life. When our Pro-life group held a charity event for head start children, while other businesses shunned us, Domino’s was there. On the rare occasions when I order pizza, I order from Domino’s.

He has a lot more energy - on the stump and in debates.

I’m only addressing perceptions of average voters here.

If substance matter, their wouldn’t be an Obama, clinton ticket.
