If President Bush couldn’t push amnesty through, there’s no way a President McCain could.

That remains to be seen. Why ask for trouble? Vote against McCain in the primaries.
People are forgetting that the Presidential election is not occuring in a vacuum. McCain heading the ticket could depress conservative turnout, having an effect on the House and Senate races. I believe we have more Pubs up for re-election (and in danger of being replaced) than the Dums do. And if they push for amnesty right after the election, no one will feel much pressure to vote according to their constituency's will--there will be time for the sheeple to "forget" before the next election.
This is also why any conservative who thinks they can bring about the coming of the next Reagan by teaching our party and the country " a lesson" and giving them Jimmy Carter redux had better get that notion out of their head immediately and start fighting like there's no tomorrow--because there might not be one.
Wrong. The Dems will work with the RINOs and it will happen,
