That’s odd for them, their 2nd “issue” that says he “reiterated”, is actually a “reiteration” from 1994. They usually get that stuff updated when there’s newer material, which in this case there is.

Romney supports instant check, and no longer supports a waiting period (which he supported to ensure that guns were not purchased by people with criminal records).

And while he still supports in theory the banning of a limited number of weapons, he will not support any new bans unless some new gun appears that is worse than anything that is currently legal.

That’s not a perfect position, but it’s hardly a major assault on the rights of people to own guns. Even if he does ban the purchase of a new weapon, the AWBs he has supported never took a gun away, merely prevented new purchases.

His web site is pretty clear, and he’s made some recent statements which have been quoted by me and others here.

So it seems we need to educate you on his explanation.

It’s not clear . Again true Assault Weapons are already highly regulated . So exactly what types of guns does Mitt want to ban ? Does he know ? Do you know ? Why or why not ?

I suggest you get an intelligent answer before replying to me . Ask the campaign if you don’t know .
