I don’t like McCain on many issues. The only chance that he would be somewhat palatable is if we were able to exert sufficient pressure to cause him to see the light. The best for which we could hope is to limit the damage he would do. We would have no hope of stopping the damage Hillary would do. None at all.
McCain is a stubborn, egotistical, truculent, twisted old man who has more in common with Hillary Clinton than with most Republicans.
To this ANY “pressure” could POSSIBLY be exerted against this thickhead who has a long record of stubbornness and resistance to the popular will of the American people is blowing in the wind.
We would be better served by Hillary in the White House. She would screw things up so badly that a single term for her would be assured along with a Republican recapture of both houses in the midterms.
Hopefully it will not come to that and McCain will get a second flushing down the toilette by the Republican voters.
For the most part, I agree with you. Let’s just hope as conservatives that we don’t have to be faced with the difficult task of choosing between several Rhino’s (I can’t even say the word Republican anymore. Most of them make my skin crawl)
But to make my point: We need to be prepared for the fact that McCain may defeat Mixed-Up Mitt and Huckleberry Finn
