And we’ve seen that a Republican congress will fight a liberal Presidency but cave in to a liberal Republican. I began to lose faith in this president the night that we won the fight against prescription drug coverage, only to have the vote held up for hours until arms could be twisted.

Exactly,,,,a Republican congress has the 'loyalty' factor to deal with if you have a liberal Republican President.

Heck, I don't even consider Pres Bush liberal (Pres Bush supporter here, but disappointed about the lack of restraint on spending)--yet look at the steel tarriffs and the farm bill--in addition to the prescription drugs!!!

The bi-partisan support on social issues (ref. Rudy) from the democrats combined with Party loyalty from the Republicans would be devastating--when it comes to furthering the liberal social agenda. No thanks.
