Romney’s strategy counted on winning Iowa and NH. His first two big tests and he lost both. Proof that money isn’t everything. Huckabee with little cash took down the money man and McCain did the same last night. Willard’s projection of invincibility was nothing more than a facade. Just like Perot, Myth will spend what it takes to stay in. Ho-hum.

Well, he won Wyoming and that brought him more delegates than the others and he sits in first place as of today. But the impression is that Iowa and NH are more important (despite actual delegate count).

Thankfully. However, in this case at least it is HIS money. I’d rather have a self-funded candidate than one who needs to pay others back.

>Huckabee with little cash took down the money man

He did, but he won’t have that 60% evangelical base through Super Tuesday (capturing just under 1/2 of it). And Huckabee turns off independents. He’ll lose a general election.

>and McCain did the same last night.

That he did. And he proved that independents will favor him over Romney (at least NE ones). Question is whether it’s enough to pull independents from Clinton/Obama.
