Allowing crossover or independent voters to vote in the Republican primary really does distort that primary. I assume the hope is that folks would vote for a candidate they could truly support in the general election.

It’s just as likely they could be trying to sabotage good candidates by voting for bad ones.

Why even have parties if you can do a crossover vote? I think that if you don't believe in the Republican party enough to register as a Republican, you have no business deciding who is going to be the Republican nominee.

Allowing crossover voting or allowing "independents" to decide who the Republican nominee is violates every principle of our two party system.

I really don't think the Republican party should allow any state that allows crossover voting to have a say in the nomination process. They should just tell that state's delegates to take a hike.
