Isn't it a mormon belief that you will evolve into Gods and have planets you rule over? IOW, you will be equal to GOD.
Genesis 1:26 26 ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Philippians 2:5-6#5 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
We do believe the Bible, so...
But, no, it's not about getting a planet, we don't believe that. We do believe we become coinheritors with Christ, for he has promised to give us all that he has.
Some of the anti's get weird and start talking about planet ownership which is their idea, not ours.

Does that make what they profess true?
No, Reality is, we just try to get our perspective as close to that as we can.
As for what we profess, Only God can tell you if what we are saying is true or not, pray about it...

U Said: I doubt if you'll find first century Christians believed God lived on a distant planet, had physical sex with Mary, and Satan was the brother of our Lord Jesus.
I Said: Yeah, we don't believe that stuff either.
U Said: This is documented, historical Mormon teaching laid down by the founders of Mormonism. If you don't believe "that stuff" then where are your creeds and confessions that characterizes what you believe?
Lets take your points one at a time in the order they appear:
- We do not know the location of Kolob (the sun around which the planet upon which God's throne is said to reside), thus Distant? we don't know.
- Phisical sex with Mary? This repugnant staement has nothing what so ever to do with Momronism We do believe that God theFather is the literal Father of Jesus in every way, however, we also believe Mary was a Virgin when jesus was concieved and Born. It's called amiracle, we don't claim to know how it happend, I doubt God will ever think we need to know.
- Satan was the Borther of Jesus... This Loaded Question Assumes so much, and I have answered it so often, that I put a section on my page here to answer it. Do Mormons Believe Jesus and Satan are brothers?
As for our "Creeds", how about the Articles of Faith, they are
here.

Whenever I look at statement of faiths such as you've provided, I zero in on the term "atonement". This saves time. While your articles of faith are a bit convoluted, snippets of verses, if my understanding is correct, man is now innocent in their infancy and can repent of their sins for salvation. Very similar to Orthodoxy.
If I have interpreted this correctly, then I do have an issue with atonement in your statement of faith. A person is not saved because they have simply repented of their sins. They are saved because of the atoning work of Christ. A person has to repent of their sins and humbling accept the atoning work of our Lord Jesus. A subtle but distinct difference that separates work-based theologies from faith-based theologies.

~”A person is not saved because they have simply repented of their sins. They are saved because of the atoning work of Christ. A person has to repent of their sins and humbling accept the atoning work of our Lord Jesus.”~
That is precisely in line with LDS theology.

The information you gave me a link to explained that it was three separate persons, and that it was the doctrine taught by them. What link was that; I've forgotten.

~As seen by past experience, you ACCUSE but fail to produce proof.~
Hello, pot. Heres kettle. You should chat.
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/js_h/1/19#19
17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the otherThis is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!
18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.
20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, Never mind, all is wellI am well enough off. I then said to my mother, I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.
I have chatted enough.

In fact, if you judge by ones parents then I am perhaps the most Mormon poster on all of FR.
Gosh! That's too bad; for your spewing will be classed as....
Number #3
How Mormon's deal with data presented to them by those they call ANTI's:
1. How you interpret it is wrong... 2. You are too ignorant to really understand it because you are not a member.... 3. You're not qualified to judge because you're no LONGER a member... 4. You are just a bigot for bringing the whole ugly truth to light ... 5. Sos yer Mama! 6. Laugh it all off and post some silly image. 7. Jump down the rabbit hole; Alice! 8. Bait & Switch 9. The OTHER 'half' of the truth is what we are avoiding. 10. "I Know It When I See It"

Its very strange to me that you would choose to call this objective fact a lie. Yes, Eisenhower converted shortly after his term started. It also appears that he was never a devout JW. But that does not make the assertion that he was a JW when he was elected a lie.Ok then:
FUNDAMENTALIST Latter Days Saints are Mormons.
Is THIS a lie or the truth?

Romney is the only one of these bozos running who doesn't NEED the job. The rest of them have been on the government teat all their miserable lives.

A few on this thread are in direct opposition to the United States Constitution. The "no religious test" clause of the United States Constitution is found in Article VI, section 3, and states that: ...no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.
ONE on this thread is silly, for NOWHERE is there a LAW that says any voter has to use ANY criteria in making up THEIR mind for whom to vote!
(If the would be candidate gets past us, THEN then would be no further test.)
So your assertion you boldly make is wrong.
(Unless, of course, you can SHOW where someone has wanted the GOVERNMENT to do it.)

Alright, if you insist:I do, for some MUST be reading challenged.
Religion
David Jacob Eisenhower's paternal ancestor immigrated to the United States in 1741 when Hans Nicholas Eisenhauer emigrated from Odenwald, Germany. He was probably of Lutheran or Reformed Protestant practice. Eisenhower's mother, Ida E. Eisenhower, previously a member of the River Brethren sect of the Mennonites, joined the Watchtower Society (now more commonly known as Jehovah's Witnesses) between 1895 and 1900, when Eisenhower was a child.[6] The Eisenhower home served as the local meeting hall from 1896 to 1915.
Jehovahs Witnesses are opposed to killing and doctrines such as militarism. Eisenhower's ties to the group were weakened when he joined the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1911. By 1915, his parents' home no longer served as the meeting hall. All the men in the household abandoned the Witnesses as adults. Some hid their previous affiliation.[7][8] At his death in 1942, Eisenhower's father was given funeral rites as though he remained a Jehovah's Witness. Eisenhower's mother continued as an active Jehovah's Witness until her death. Despite their differences in religious beliefs, Eisenhower enjoyed a close relationship with his mother.
Eisenhower was baptized, confirmed, and became a communicant in the Presbyterian Church in a single ceremony on February 1, 1953, just 12 days after his first inauguration.[9] He is the only president known to have undertaken these rites while in office. Eisenhower was instrumental in the addition of the words "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954, and the 1956 adoption of "In God We Trust" as the motto of the US, and its 1957 introduction on paper currency. In his retirement years, he was a member of the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church.[10] The chapel at his presidential library is intentionally inter-denominational.
It must be parTICularly maddening to a Mormon, that Ike entered a DAMNED Presbyterian chuirch!
I then said to my mother, I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.
