Darth never meant an onslaugfht of flesh but a spiritual onslaught from hell..
Sorry, I didn't get that from his post, (I was reading fast...)
The Christians in these threads have poured their hearts out to you and given you much info about Jesus and His saving power, because they dont want you to go to Hell...
Likewise, I have tried to help them. Stop trying to save me, I am saved already...
I am learning that it is considered a sport for mormons to spew venom and ridicule on Christians and others who do not accept the aposacy of Joseph Smith...
Have you read the posts where Dearth tells me I am doomed because he is coming for me? Somehow it does not feel like love.
I am learning that it is considered a sport for mormons to spew venom and ridicule on Christians and others who do not accept the aposacy of Joseph Smith...
Convicts? Well the Court system is just not very fast... Seriously, that was one person's experience, I had better success in Taiwan (a relatively difficult area) Some missionaries baptise hundreds, it all depends on where you are called to serve, and how well prepared you are.
Jesus said to draw people to the love of God..
Tell it to DV, I don't feel the love, and every time I try to extend an olive branch, he tells me I'm doomed and he's coming for me with an army. (come on up, the oxygen's rare...)
Who would want to join a group who constantly beat them up and mocked them ???
Which is why, if you look at my posting history outside of DV, I spend most of my time testifying.
Im not your enemy and have harmed no mormons in these threads nor elsewhere... in fact I have helped mormons and given of my substance to them ...but I have been accused and maligned and called a range of foul names ...
Nana, I remember being called names by you...
What ewas there among such unbecoming behavior that would ever begin to suggest that mormons arfe Christians or Christlike ..
A profession of Belief in Jesus?
In the 50 years i have known Jesus as my Lord and Savior He has never abused me or beaten me up verbal...and calls me nothing but His own...
On this statement we can agree, except that I'm not 50 yet..

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” — CS Lewis

That is a funny homeschooling joke. I don’t have children, so I haven’t done homeschooling. I do have a nephew who is learning to read, he is four years old. He uses the phonic method and gets confused at times. He was reading to me the other night and ran upon the word nice. He sounded it out and then looked at me with a puzzled face. I said the word is nice and he said No it isn’t. LOL. He has a hard time accepting that sometime the letter Y can sound like a long E. It’s fun to watch the kids learn to read.

I Said: However, Paul does not ever give an example of Sin as a reason for Righteousness. that includes here.
U Said: Now this is an interesting twist. Paul did not condemn it as sin NOR did he extol it a righteous. What you are really trying to say is Paul would never use a false practice as a proof for the resurrection. This is a false statement.
On that we'll just have to agree to disagree.
U Said: To try to substantiate their claim, mormon apologists must rely upon Gnostics (marcionites), apocryphal and pseudepigraphic writings to substantiate these alleged rites of Christianity. Most of these pseudepigraphic writings also had origins in Gnosticism or the most fringe elements of Christianity. Tvedtnes had to admit as to the unreliability of those documents whose authorship is open to question . .
So, you have a practice that is widely mentioned in texts, some of which have questionable authorship, but wide body of work saying that it is unremarkable, and one place in the Bible where it is specifically used as an argument for the resurrection no where where it is condemned, and the position that it was common is the one that is wrong? LOL!
I disagree, you had to be forced to admit that it was in the other books, you had to be forced to admit that It's uncommon for a Rabbi to use a sin as justification for Righteousness. I think my position on this is so justified that I will allow you to do whatever you want for I have proved my point which was that it's not unreasonable to hold my position, there is support for it.
A fool to the finish so too was Jim Jones.
Matt. 5: 22 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
And with that, I'll leave of arguing at this time, I have made my point.

'Speaking' of phonics, I used to do this comedy routine for my son when he was just getting started in school ... it is an original Borge. Enjoy

So, how did Peter die? Not as an irrational animal.
Honestly, I would be more likely to vote for Romney if he wasn't a politician first and a mormon second. He isn't honest about his faith. (And mormons have been told to soften their sales pitch now because some of the teachings are so bizarre -- which I think is really a sad commentary...)
I'm not impressed with Huckabee either, because his social(ist) gospel is false too.
There is no way to work your way to heaven. God has made it plain. We are all sinners, regardless of skin color. God the Father was never a man, doesn't live somewhere making spirit babies, and we will not be gods after death. We will spend eternity in fellowship with God in Christ, his perfect son (one with him) and the Holy Spirit (also one with him). God in three persons. The only way this happens is through faith in Christ (not the brother of Lucifer who had a competing 'plan' that the Father didn't approve).
The only revelation of God is found in the Bible (the NASB is a good translation to start with). Not the book of mormon or the Koran or any other book. When we die we will be judged according to our sins, and if we do not have faith in Christ (not a false Christ) ALONE (not your works or moral lifestyle) our sins will not be covered and we will spend eternity in the lake of fire prepared beforehand for the devil and his angels.

Isn’t LDS.org where they tell us all these weird teachings about the LDS? That God was a man and that we will become gods?

The Scriptures and the Sanhedrin convicted Jesus of Blasphemy for actually admitting he was the son of God. Yes they did. And their accusation would have been true, if he wasn't the Son of God. So what?

I'm sorry, on a fast moving thread like this has become, I don't have time for your monster posts, so I'll fall back on what you said about me.

What do you have to say when all these apologetics have proven that your book is false. Some people cannot see that toward which they are willfully blind. The Holy Spirit really has to draw them first.

I doubt if you'll find first century Christians believed God lived on a distant planet, had physical sex with Mary, and Satan was the brother of our Lord Jesus.
Yeah, we don't believe that stuff either.
