Cruciatus curse?
In a related story, a witch was wiped out in Iowa last Tuesday.
One more reason not to practice witchcraft or be part of the occult.
Tod (Keanu Reeves) from Parenthood:
“You know, Mrs. Buckman, you need a license to buy a dog, to drive a car - hell, you even need a license to catch a fish. But they’ll let any -expletive omitted- be a father.”
I had a friend who went to college in Sioux City quite a long time ago. He said that there was a significant number of wiccans/witchcraft followers there.
I have no idea why Fox ran off to consult a professor who specializes in the modern practice of witchcraft/wicca when there's no indication this man had any involvement with it.
A Sioux City gal in my class was spooky but I don’t know if she was a wiccan...
Satanic ritual? There are many different form of these cults. In Alabama some Satanic cults have been vandalizing churches.
So what was supposed to happen if the ritual went well?
No it isn't.
He wasn’t practicing witchcraft, he was abusing those kids and it got out of hand, he murdered them and set the house on fire to cover it up.
My friend told an interesting story. He became interested in witchcrft and bought some books on the subject at a mainstream bookstore over a period of several months. He didn’t tell anyone of his interest, he just bought the books and read them.
He received an anonymous letter saying that if he was really interested he should come to a particular address on a certain evening. He went to a wood frame house in an older part of Sioux City. The door was open and he went in to find the living room completely empty of furniture except for some burning candles along the base of the walls. This completely freaked him out and he left right away.
He said that in every city there are communities of witches who are always on the lookout for people who show signs of interest. They keep a very low profile and are very careful about who they bring in. He said that this was very likely supposed to be the first in a series of tests to gauge the strength of his interest and his suitability for the group.
He lost all interest in the subject of witchcraft after that.
They are definitely out there. They’re a bunch of idiots, however dangerous, though, nothing like your common Islamofascist.
Idiots are very real, and very dangerous. If he was doing something that could potentially harm them, he's on the whacko fringe for even Wiccans, right up there with priests who kill people as part of an exorcism.
But his mom got scared and said “You’re moving with you Auntie and Uncle in Bel-Air.”
What is that? My inlaws are from just north of there. My wife will call them tonight.
[I had a friend who went to college in Sioux City quite a long time ago. He said that there was a significant number of wiccans/witchcraft followers there.]
I am from there originally and can say that I never heard such when I was there and my relatives have never mentioned it ... EVER. That said, it is a relatively poor town, dominated by unions and a local provincial view of the world. E.g., they didn’t have a foreign car dealership until 1993 or so. And the area has a population of over 90,000.
YMMV
Good one.
