The New Republic is hostile to all real conservatives, which explains why it is going after Ron Paul.
I am NOT a Ron Paul fan, but I do not want to beat him by lying about him. Based on his current views, there just has to be more to this story. I never believe what liberals say about anyone, left or right.

It's not working, Ron Paul doesn't even call himself a Conservative, so stop drinking crazy train brand kool-aid.
I don't like Paul and his foreign policy stances but it's not just TNR that doesn't like real conservatives....I would say nowadays a majority of those who freep don't either....a slim one thankfully but far stronger than pre-9/11
TNR was a big breeding ground for Neo Conservatism....the particular style which is pretty strong on this forum thou TNR is more of a moderate liberal joint....there was a small exodus from there to Neo Conservatism in the 80s....Chuck, Fred, Mort (sorta), PJ, etc.....
and no I don't mean Jews though admittedly they have a presence in Neo Conservatism ....
this crap really bugs me....we are so handicapped about candor regarding protected groups....I had a Colin Powell-Obama post yanked last nite for simply posting the obvious...Obama...half white....Powell...always sorta lib.....why he was ever loved here beats me
