Whatever his particular and personal views maybe, Paul has slept with strange bedfellows. One mayhave to remember the tone of the old John Birchers to hear it in Paul's speeches, but I certainly do. Not that they were necessarily wrong in urging the impeachment of Earl Warren, or that Paul is wrong about our monetary policy, but the paranoia is discerible and off-putting.

He’s attracted a hell of a menagerie, that’s for sure...disaffected conservatives, libertarians, and paleocons, surrounded by a fringe of Troofers, anti-war flaming moonbats, tinfoil hatters, Stormfront white supremacists, anti-Semites, anarchists, and generally bored yoots.

As good as many of his stands are, he’s lying down with dogs, and these are the fleas he’s getting up with.
