I’m speaking not so much about this specific allegation, but more generally. It’s just an observation; I could be wrong.
It’s just that so much energy seems to be expended in attacking a supposedly peripheral candidate, that it kind of makes me suspicous of where this stuff is ultimately coming from.
I mean, why isn’t anyone going absolutely nuts over McCain’s statement that he would keep us in Iraq for a hundred years? That’s as “out there” as anything Paul has said (who, at times, can be pretty “out there”).
There were stories posted on that comment by McLovin to. Why is Paul off limits?
This whoole thing somewhat reminds me of the days of the Clown Posse scumbags.
Perhaps it's because we want the conservative movement to form antibodies to Paul's neo-Nazi, Truther supporters to inoculate it in the future.
We do not want Paul's candidacy to plant virulent seeds in the GOP or the conservative movement by letting his rhetoric and his support network go unchallenged and uncriticized.
