I know former President Bill Clinton's frustrated that Iowa (and soon New Hampshire) voters aren't seeing in his wife what he sees, but some of his vouching is taking on a rather overstated tone.
Just a few days ago, in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, the former president said, "I have been blessed in my life to know some of the greatest figures of the last hundred years. Because of what you did. You, you gave me the chance to be president. You voted for me twice here, and I'm very grateful.
"I go to Nelson Mandela's birthday party every year and we're still very close. I believe if Yitzhak Rabin had not been murdered in 1995 we would have peace in the Middle East. I loved him as much as anyone I've ever known.
"But if you said to me today, 'I'm gonna give you one last job for your country -- go and do this -- but it's hazardous and you may not get out with life and limb intact and you have to do it alone except I'll let you take one other person,' and I had to pick one person whom I knew who would never blink, who would never turn back, who would make great decisions under pressure and would never forget what the purpose of being there was, I would pick Hillary of the people I've known and I would never even think about it. It would be an easy choice."
Listen to the former POTUS HERE. (The audio is not great, but it works with the transcript.)
High praise. Because Mandela and Rabin are/were some pretty tough dudes.
1993 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, was incarcerated at Robben Island Prison, off Cape Town, from 1964 until 1982, and at Pollsmoor Prison until 1980.
Under the command of 1994 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli Defense Forces won the Six Day War against Egypt, Syria and Jordan in 1967.
“Bill: Hillary’s Tougher than Mandela and Rabin”
He said as his hand reflexively brushed an ashtray scar...
Doesn’t Billy have a rope line to watch over?
You let this blowhard go and he always steps in it.
Which is more incredible, that Bill Clinton can spew this nonsense with a straight face, that a ‘Rat audience can actually lap it up without laughing, or that supposedly savvy political reporter Jake Tapper can don the “Monica kneepads” without even a hint of embarrassment?
OK, it’s all incredible, but not surprising, because we are seeing the folly of Clintonista narcissism at its greatest heights, er, depths....
That guy is the most delusional dude on the planet.
Or at least his wife’s supporters are..one or the other.
“hillary’s tougher than mandela and rabin.”
more prairie pancakes.
"I go to Nelson Mandela's birthday party every year and we're still very close. I believe if Yitzhak Rabin had not been murdered in 1995 we would have peace in the Middle East. I loved him as much as anyone I've ever known.

President I, Me, Mine.
"I believe if Yitzhak Rabin had not been murdered in 1995 we would have peace in the Middle East."
Then you're a bigger schmuck than I thought ... and that's pretty big. The level of this man's self-absorption, never ceases to amaze me.
Alternative Intepretation: Clinton is too intelligent to believe this silly statement will actually help at all. It now appears to me he does not want his wife in the presidency, for whatever psycho-dynamic the two have. So he appears to help but is actually hurting her chances further.
Hmmmm. Is he saying that being married to him is harder on a person than being imprisoned for years and years?
Mr. Mandela, who does your hair? Sniff. Sniff. It’s hard . . .
Considering Hillary's desperation, I'm surprised she didn't claim to be tougher than Batman and Robin.
“Am I imagining things, or are the Clintons FINALLY being understood by their own party to be self-serving phonies?”
SOME are finally waking up to this..
Witness this KOS thread:

Here’s an example:
“You need to understand that the Clintons do not care about the health and strength of the Democratic party, per se. The Clintons care about one thing and one thing only: themselves. Their power, the influence, their status.
If the risk of destroying and fatally dividing the Democratic party is necessary to propel Hillary to the Presidency, they will not even think twice about it.
Hillary’s tearful speech today (crocodile tears) was just the beginning. It’s war, my friends and it is going to get VERY, VERY ugly. By the time Obama gets the nomination (if he does and that’s a big if), the Clintons will have done half the work for the GOP in tearing him down.
Get ready for endless Swift Boatesque sleaze. Everything Obama has ever said or done (or rumored to have done) is fair game.”
Fuglier too..
If it were just left to me, I wouldn't have been able to do some of those tasks. I don't have near the determination to strap on the workman clothes and get down to whips and brass tacks the way she does.
These are decisions of life-and-death, make no mistake, and Hillary has had to face possible death many times, and she's done so with the courage and chutzpah of Rabin, or any other FJB, if not their cajones.
If some of our former adversaries in this world were still around to speak, we could learn from them about Hillary's indomitable, 'dogged' determination (tip-o'the-hat to Sigourney Weaver).
I can honestly say there is no one else who has had to face as many FBI 302 forms threats of invesigations grand juries onslaughts of public suspicion threats from former women-friends of mine trials as Hillary has. And she comes out on top far more often than even I do.
You should want her for your president at least as much as I do, 'cuz frankly, I have all I want and need since she became my help-mate 32 years ago. All she's wanted to do in those 35 years of experience was to help people like you and me. Those other three years of pre-marital experience she had--for the children--was mostly the lifetime of Democrat bona fides she's so proud of related to her kingmaker experience at bringing down RMN--just in case you didn't know."

We will have the opportunity to see more "Tears of a Clown" after the coming shipwreck in New Hampshire.
Tick... tick... tick...
When they start to belittle or lessonthe stature of foreign leaders as the only way to boost themselves up... that is when even RAT loyalist eyebrows will be raised.
Thanks for posting this.I have never gone to this site and probably would not have. Boy, things have changed. Seeing this and seeing she did not get any votes in Dixville Notch, I don’t think she will even make it to the convention. I have even read that DU is fed up with her.
Here, let me fix that:
...Because of what you Ross Perot did. You, you Ross Perot gave me the chance to be president with only 43% of the vote. You voted for me Ross Perot got me into the White House twice here, and I'm very grateful... In fact his company Perot System was rewarded with the billion dollar a year Social Security contract, and that's exactly what Mayor Blumenthal is supposed to do when Hillary gets the nomination.
For once, I agree with Bill...she has skin like a rhino...
