A couple of yahoos interrupted Hillary Clintons speech tonight in Salem by waving big signs and chanting Iron my shirts!
Clinton asked that the lights be turned on, apparently to see them better and declared. Oh the remnants of sexism, alive and well tonight, to applause.
She then talked about breaking glass ceilings, before joking as the pair were hustled out: If theres anybody in the audience who wants to learn to iron his own shirt, we can talk about that.
We followed.to ask what the heck they were thinking.
Nick Gemelli, who is 21, and born at least a decade after iron my shirts was an anti-womens rights slogan, didnt have much of a rationale. I just dont think a woman should be President, he said.
He couldnt really say why, but he agreed that he was a health care voter, as the sticker on his carrying case implied. The Hillary for President sticker was a bit more of a puzzle.
He said he had just been given both and peeled them off. He said he had no connection to any campaign.
At least he got some attention. His friend a la Bart Simpson said his name was Hugh Jas, but The Mouth later learned that his real name is Adolfo Gonzalez Jr.
Update Adolfo apparently has a MySpace page that says he is a Republican who doesnt do drugs or have a girlfriend, and calls himself Captain Fun. He did seem to enjoy himself more than Nick.

As everybody else has said, there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell this story is real. These bozos are Clinton plants from the start.

The whole campaign is utterly pathological. They need to figure out a new tack than the uber control freak image management crap stuff like these staged stunts. The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result.

My myspace makes a joke towards being a Democrat. Does that mean I’m a Democrat? I don’t think so. This kid never says straight out he’s a Republican. That can easily be a JOKE!

Is there anything she won't do for attention?

It’s so bad and nonsensical it’s laughable. Within minutes of some “convenient” sexist protestor heckling Hillary (who just happens to be struggling badly) they’ve found a lovely little Myspace page where the first thing he says is “Oh, by the way, I’m a Republican?”
Give me a break. The Clintons are at least capable of putting on a better show than this. This is blatant desperation and anybody can see that.

THIS is admitting to being a Republican?
Was this "Republican" also seen throwing trash out of his SUV whilst devouring a Whopper and listening to Rush Limbaugh-- that is to say, a pornographic mainstream media caricature?
If it turns out this is not a setup (though it thoroughly reeks of dumbed-down "gotcha" politics), I can only say that the aforementioned Republican probably believes that Rudy is a genuine conservative and that FOX's "Family Guy" is funny.

O the HUGH MANity! ...is a MANdatory pun for this thread!
A real Conservative man would have had a RATIONALE for not wanting a woman President, such as the Scriptural issue of headship, which I have not heard much about so I'm putting it out there.
Despite Hillary's faux bleats of religiosity, if she were a true Bible obeyer, she would act accordingly.
Combined DFU Hillary & Funners & Punners Lists PING!

One might as well ask her to obey the laws of logic, i.e., it isn't going to happen.
The Biblical case for headship of household would be lost on Mrs. Clinton, as it is painfully clear just who wears the pantsuit in the family.

Better then even money says this guy is a Hillary campaign plant. She is far too ready to deal with him, it fits too neatly in with her current campaign stategy, guy is typical dumb campaign activist plant. He as even too stupid to hide his obvious connection to her campaign.
No this was another obvious, clumsy Clinton Campaign stunt.

You didn't have to say it: MySpace. I'm sorry to all of those FReepers who do use the forum, but it has a well-deserved reputation for being the lowest common denominator in electronic communication, next to texting.
Allow me to prophesy once more: This gentleman is probably overweight. I'm guessing there might be Robot Chicken references on his MySpace page.
Yep, good and faithful Republican indeed.

I don’t think it’s a lost concept, more like a spurned concept in her case.
Great tagline BTW.

As much as I love the movie, I've got ask...Is Forrest Gump running her campaign? Any voter with an I.Q. in the triple digits should know better and pick up on the old, hackneyed cliches right away.
Is this Mrs. Clinton's "daisy" ad?
