Go to GQ. Remove the gun muzzle covers. Lock on the craft with your fire control radar. Shift mounts to automatic. And see what they do. If they don’t stop commence fire. Then acquire a new target. An old fire control technician speaks.

Then acquire a new target That's pretty much what they did, although maybe not the fire control radar. Got kind of close for the main armament. Besides the "go fast boats" probably don't have radar detectors anyway, so they wouldn't know.
