Kind of off topic. Was there ever a Civil War battle near Bayeau Teche in New Iberia in Louisiana?
(Just out of curiosity, from a very good series of books by James Lee Burke about a detective named Dave Robicheaux set near there. One of the series was “In the Electric Mist with the Confederate Dead” Good novels about the Mafia operating in the south and maybe not all the ACLU things were obeyed by the cops or ex cops.)
I really don’t know to be honest with you there might have been a battle fought there it’s worth looking into.
