The more I see of Huckabee, the less I like him.
HOWEVER
The more Rush, Laura and Hugh continue to insult me, the less likely I am to change my mind about voting for him.
To me abortion is the not only the #1 moral issue. As a Christian, I believe that God not only judges individuals, but he also judges nations. If our nation is at emnity with God, because of the unfathomable abomination of abortion=child sacrifice, how long can we expect him to bless us and protect us?
It is also the #1 economic issue, because people, the producers of goods and services, are our most valuable economic asset. In a free market, capatalistic society, people must be viewed as assets and not as liabilities (as in a socialistic society). You cannot take advantage of economies of scale by depleting the scale.
It is also the #1 national defense issue. Because the core of a national defense is is built with soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. The military is stuggling with recruitment, not only because of the war (as the MSM would have us believe) but also because of a nation of more and more selfish single child parents who actively deter their children from joining.
My generation has been decimated by abortion. The subsequent generations are being decimated (or worse) by abortion Our economy and defense is enervated by every day that the United States suffers of 9/11 worth (avg 4000) of lost souls every day! Abortion is not a "single issue", it's a nation and culture bent on suicide.
Very sadly, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul are the only candidates with any credability on stopping the bleeding.
Huckabee is not my first choice. But I think the potential for him to galvanize the efforts of the pro-life movement can reap the greatest dividends in November.
