If this is true, it will be the first successful overthrow of a presumptive heir apparent since Eugene McCarthy did so against Lyndon Johnson 40 years ago. And Johnson did no campaigning in New Hampshire. If this happens, look for Edwards to try being Bobby Kennedy to Obama’s McCarthy. However, Obama is very well funded and has momentum and star power, all of which McCarthy lacked.
