So yes, I think it needs to be a significant impact. I understand your outrage but "shutting down" a state seems a little.. well .. retarded.

Well...if we don’t fight against this kind of action then we will have to change the number of stars anyway. We could just put one big red star on the flag and be done with this great experiment.

We would have to change the number of stars on all the flags. Just drag the old 49 star flags out of storage, they shouldn't be in bad shape, since they were only used from January to August of 1959.
Or make Guam or sumpin else a state, problem solved.
