Illegal Aliens Receive $37 Million From (L.A.) County In November

Welfare and food stamp benefits soar $3 million higher than September payout.

New statistics from the Department of Public Social Services reveal that illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $37 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in November 2007 – up $3 million dollars from September, announced Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

Twenty five percent of the all welfare and food stamps benefits is going directly to the children of illegal aliens. Illegals collected over $20 million in welfare assistance for November 2007 and over $16 million in monthly food stamp allocations for a projected annual cost of $444 million.

“This new information shows an alarming increase in the devastating impact Illegal immigration continues to have on Los Angeles County taxpayers,” said Antonovich. “With $220 million for public safety, $400 million for healthcare, and $444 million in welfare allocations, the total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers far exceeds $1 billion a year – not including the millions of dollars for education.”

“You can thank leaders like Bush”

Why don’t you just say, you can thank our leaders. No offense, but I am tired of Bush being blamed for illegal immigration. This has been going on for 40 years. Want to blame someone, blame the libs who need the unions money and the Republicans who need business money.

Want to change this? Term limits.

Just because Bush’s predecessors didn’t do anything about illegal aliens does not give him a free ride. He is guilty of allowing this to go on and if he had his way there would be another 38 million uneducated citizens voting for welfare and the Democrat way.

No problem. All they have to do is confiscate all the money of all those tolerant liberal movie stars.

So the simple solution would be to cut off all federal funding to cities that don’t cooperate in the enforcement of federal laws.

I agree. Bush doesn’t get a free pass. On the other hand, it shouldn’t be 100% placed on his shoulders.

As long as California can afford it, and the voters have elected the people who make these decisions and write the checks, who cares? People get the government they deserve.

But...but...but...I thought we couldn’t find them? How do these pinheads calculate these figures unless they know who are the illegals? Seems to me these folks may be easier to find than we’ve been led to believe? And, if we can find them, why can’t we deport them? I realize we are talking about the left coast, here, but still...

Thanks Jorge Boosh for what you have done, and have not done, to our America. I fear we are too far down the illegal road to correct the problem. Violence will be next.

The govt, Bush, has kept the costs of illegals away from public scrutiny. It is beginning to leak out as it should have 5 or 6 years ago.

5 or or years ago?!!

People in southern California have been screaming about the illegals for 30 years! Old George Putman was the first one to coin the term "illegal invasion" on his old show on KTLA years ago. Reagan gave amnesty to 10 million of them and 30 million more ran accross. MeCHa and La Raza were on college campuses when I was a student at USC in 1979.

These scumbags have been planning their invasion for 50 years at least. Eisenhauer brought out the US military in the 50's and chased many thousands back accross the border then.

California is $14 bill in the red. We spend $10 bill a year on services to illegals and they can’t figure out where to cut the budget. DuuuuuuH!

We all know that illegals have been crossing the border to the US for years and years. Nothing new.

I am referrring to the laws passed within the last 5 or 6 years aiding the illegals. The Medicare bill with $1billion going to illegal aliens hospital bills. The Emergency medicaid bill for illegals was passed by the Republican congress in the Clinton administration. Neither of these bills or the costs of the bills was explained to the American people.

Does your county enumerate the expenses of the illegals each month? Mine doesn’t. Since we the peoploe have to pick up the tab for the illegals, then we the people need to know what the tab is.

Ah yes. Thank you for the correction. The Bush administration along with the Republicans have opened up the flood gates as far as they could get away with.

Nope. The only way we find out the cost is when the police have to document the illegals for future prosecution and tracking.

We had "A day without a Mexican" here in SoCal a little while ago. All the latinos thought they should go on strike to teach the white people a lesson. The joke of it was, that the roads haven't been so traffic free since last Xmas! There were no waits in the hospital emergency rooms! Crime dropped down to next to nothing. THAT should give you an idea of how big the problem is here in California.

I wish we could have "A day without a Mexican" every day here.

Why don’t you just say, you can thank our leaders. No offense, but I am tired of Bush being blamed for illegal immigration. This has been going on for 40 years.

No one buys this BS. ((NO SALE))

Look, every knows Bush has done nothing but coddle, support and actually publicly encouraged this violent illegal invasion, at the same time suggesting Americans are bigots and lazy. It's no secret buddy.

So stop your political BS. No one buys it anymore.

Bush not only publicly encouraged this massive illegal invasion, he attempted in every way possible to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens that had zip respect for our laws and our sovereignty.

Just stop with your excuses and phony rationalization of this and attempting to somehow isolate Bush here. NO SALE.

In addition, there is absolutely no comparison to what has occurred in the past 10 years or so, as opposed to 40 years ago. None. In the past 10, specifically in the past 7 years, the massive violent illegal invasion of millions has literally exploded, all while Bush has supported it, and publicly encouraged it.

Nice try.

Alice in wonderland.

The Feds have failed to protect and secure our sovereign borders, yet they continue to confiscate our money for a job they are not performing, yet you want the Feds to stop giving back the money they take from citizens and cities, because some cities are pandering to illegal aliens, yet the Feds and the Commander in Chief are doing the *exact* same thing.

This is insanity. This is the definition of a government out of control.

Is it not clear to all that every level of government is pandering to these criminals while forcing us to pay the bills? And this all starts with our federal borders and the federal government? The fish stinks from the head.

This reeks.

We have illegal immigration because a lot of wealthy and powerful interests profit from exploiting illegal workers.

I don’t believe the illegal immigration problem can be blamed on any individual or ethnic group or ideology. The system is corrupt and the only way to fix it is to go after those who are making the big money. I think Arizona has it right with employer sanctions but they won’t be credible unless they are enforced.
