Don't Bash the President

Americans have much to be thankful for.

We take our safety for granted, it is our right. But 9/11 changed all that, our right was shaken to the core. We were attacked on our sacred soil, by a group of people who's only goal in life is to see us all dead.

This enemy has attacked other countries, they even kill their own, all in the name of Allah.

Lt. General Pacepa, an ex-KGB, who came to our country, given asylum by President Jimmy Carter, spoke with such eloquence and love for his new country, the U.S. He explained how all the bashing of our president is used against us, and how all the negatives are played up overseas to hurt us.

I believe his commentary in the Wall Street Journal of Aug. 7 should be read on the floor of Congress and studied in every government class in high schools across the country.

We have been kept safe, because our president took action, which members of Congress knew about, and did not disapprove, until the Times broke the news. Then, the mantra started.

Well, God bless our president and all the men and women in the military who are there serving because they joined, not drafted, but freely joined. They get up daily and work for our country. They believe in the U.S. and put their lives on the line. God bless their families who are waiting for them to come home safe.

We who are here safe and sound should let our brave men and women in uniform know we are behind them, for them and very proud of them.

Write your congressmen and tell them to quit playing games and pass the military spending bill, and actually support our troops.
