There have always been remedies in law for torts. Any form of compulsory insurance is wrong and retards a free market economy. For example, Rush Limbaugh has assets enough to cover his potential auto liabilities. Why should he be compelled to buy insurance? Is it so he can subsidize my purchase of insurance? Who is to decide how much insurance I must have, me or the government?
