While that is true, I am referring mostly to young people. The group MA cannot keep here once they are out of college. Folks just starting out, who are healthy, but have to buy these policies that don’t benefit them at all. For them it is another tax, and they have to chose to either have a car and insure it, so they can get to work, or get the mandated health insurance. They cannot afford to do both. I know a lot of young people, which is why it is a concern for me.

They can find catastrophic coverage with a high deductable usually pretty cheap.

MLF has said that he has found such coverage for about 80 dollars a month.

Sounds like a bargain for someone who isn’t going to the doctor.
