Mitt is not overwhelming the competition. This is a good debate. He is the smartest guy in the room, but there are no stupid people on that stage. They all have their styles and approaches.

Thompson got a little tongue-tied by heading in the wrong direction, but I would not deduct points for that. These are all older guys. It is late in the day. They have to be given some time get thoughts out, and they all feel time pressure for answers.

McCain’s attacks on Romney are surprising. His polling must not show much of a lead — or maybe he’s in desperate trouble for money and in Michigan, which may be more important that NH.

I got the impression the two senators were bored out of their minds by the sophmoric performance of their GUBERnatorial counterparts....LOL
