Getting back to the subject at hand, the caucus.
Fred is a long way from down and out. He wanted second and needed third. Well, he didn’t get what he wanted, but he did get what he needed.
Consider the long term issues that will arise. If Fred keeps McCain down long enough, he will drop out. Also, all the remaining lower tier candidates will drop out over the course of the next several months. As long as Fred stays in one of the top several spots he stands a good chance of picking up a lot of the supporters of the other candidates. This will be especially effective in states with ordinary primary votes.
There are going to be a lot of shakeups and changes as we go, and it’s crazy to act like the sky is falling after the first state. Fred has very little baggage to weigh himself down and with both Huck and Mitt having big problems telling the truth lately Fred may have to do nothing more than give them enough rope to hang themselves. It seems like the more Huck and Mitt talk, the more damage they do to their own campaigns.
The strong donations that will come from being in the top three won’t hurt either.
Iowa has just been extremely foolish but the usual sign off still applies... GO FRED!
You said — “Fred is a long way from down and out. He wanted second and needed third. Well, he didnt get what he wanted, but he did get what he needed.”
For a minute there, I had a flashback to the Gulf War, listening to Saddam Hussein tell us how he won the war... LOL...
