John Francois Kerry got 59 million votes in 2004.
Obama is a much, MUCH better candidate, and will surely get more than Kerry.
How the Republicans will do depends on who they nominate.
All my thinking about matchups has been GOP candidate vs. Hillary.
The considerations vs. Obama are different. How different remains to be seen.
He has very little experience. How is he a "better candidate" ??? Because he can speak? The man was raised in a madrasah and there are tons of questions about him. He already blew it by saying he would invade Pakistan. Exactly what separates him from the others?
Can you imagine, with an Obama nomination, a Romney resurgence? Can any of us imagine what a heyday the MSM & Dems would have with that?
I mean here the GOP would have a candidate, who as an adult was part of a church who said that blacks & Africans & other "people of color" were "cursed" skin-color-wise because their "pre-existent" spirits remained neutral in the war of heaven & were therefore less "valiant." (As an adult Romney was part of a church that said: No black priests allowed)
(It's not just that many historical comments reflect badly on LDS leaders...but LDS cannot shed verses in the Book of Mormon which talk about skin color as a curse for the Lamanites--which Mormons regard as Native Americans)
