If Thompson places in the top 3, he has a STRONG possibility of becoming President. Because the LeftMedia Socialist nutcases hate him, they would NOT give him any pre-caucus airtime. But if he places in the top 3, going forward they won't have any choice but to let his message get out. And if that happens, you can be sure that Romney and Huckabee will have a hard time up against his verifiable conservative credentials.
