No, not a Huckster by any stretch of the imagination. WHO 1040 is the big station in Des Moines and should be good for tonight’s coverage.

Well, in that quote, he does mention the bully pulpit aspect, but he seems to me to downplay it.

Rudy is dishonest about many things. Just ask his ex-wives. I heard Rudy once start to say is opposes gun control and then added qualification that me said he is for gun control. I agree he has been honest about abortion. He, along with Huckabee, are to the left of center. Both have no interest in fighting WOT no matter what they say. They are for perks for illegal aliens, amnesty, and open borders.

I can just see the state of the country after the Huckster starts releasing all the terrorists from Gitmo into the U.S. because he “feels their pain”.

Is it over? Who won?

The caucus doesn't start until 6:30 p.m. CST (Democrat) & 7:00 p.m. (Republican). Check back after 8:00 p.m. or so.

I think that if Hunter gets 5% or less in both Iowa and N.H., he should get out and support the most viable candidate in the race... Thompson... If Thompson is out, then Romney... Then McCain... Then Rudy... Then Huckabee.

I consider McCain to be everybody’s sentimental favorite. Everybody, of course, who doesn’t know any better. The unofficial endorsement of the MSM just adds to his advantages. But he will place in the top 3 for his military record. IMO.

That’s great you 2 met on freerepublic.

Are you conservatives ? Are you for very limited government, property rights, free speech rights, individual rights, freedom, capitalism, the free market, stopping illegal immigration, deporting illegals, limiting immigration from the 3rd world, against abortion, against socialism , against big government, for only a low flat tax, for gun rights, but above all for capitalism like I am?

Now if only some conservative Freeper girl would marry me lol.

I am sure all those caucusers are hanging over the Intrade results to get their marching orders. Aren’t you?

Huckabee is no conservative. He is for more taxes, the nanny state, pardons for violent criminals, and perks for illegal aliens. No conservative would surrender to the invasion by illegal aliens and then offer them special privileges. He is okay with selling out this country.

Obama does have the big Mo, but Edwards does too. Hillary has zero momentum. Her support has always been flat. Her supporters are “crawl over broken glass Clintonistas”, but this number is static. Support for Obama/Edwards can rise and fall. Turnout is going to be the key. I think she will place 3rd, but will live to fight another day. She will never, never, never give up.

At Clinton HQ there is probably too many broken dishes, vases, and a old television with a high heel shoes stuck in the front of it...

Saw this and it makes me shudder..

“When John Kerry ran four years ago, he had 300 people prepared to give people rides,” Vilsack said. “Hillary Clinton has 5,000 people prepared to give rides this time.”

Maybe to even the score, republicans can go around and slash all the tires on the vehicles, lined up to chauffeur the Clinton kool-aid drinkers around.

Huckabee is evil and so is his dog torturing son.

Come on. Are you so frothed up that he is winning that you have to stoop to calling him evil? Is there a Huckabee Derangement Syndrome going on here? Huckabee is no worse than McCain, Rudy, or Mitt, and only slightly worse than Thompson. Huckabee has signed a "no tax pledge", placed completing the border fence as his #1 point in handling illegal immigration, and has a strong social conservative record. Furthermore, he connects with people the best out of any of the candidates.

If you want to compare records, Mitt, Thompson, and McCain have very poor records on illegal immigration. Who is the only one whose record matches his campaign promises? Duncan Hunter.

Yes Thompson could use the Help from Hunter's Supporters. So Hunter should drop out if he scores badly.

I like Hunter and Thompson and then Romney in that order. But I can never support pro-Amnesty socialists like Huckabee or McCain.

Alas, Christian voters who are supporting Huckabee in preference to Thompson or Hunter, simply on the basis of his being a Baptist pastor are being stupid. (No, that is not meant as an ad hominem attack on you personally. It is my sober judgement of his base.) His positions on virtually every issue except life-issues are not conservative in either the American or European sense of the word, and his foreign policy statements only exacerbate justifiable fears of his lack of experience in the area.

Throwing religious people of the bus? A Huckabee nomination comes close to throwing all of us pious non-protestant Christians off the bus, along with with every serious small-government conservative.

For anyone who goes to the caucus, please give an insiders view of what is going on. Are there tables of snacks, bumper stickers, etc. And how long did it take to actually drop your candidates name in the ballot box.

Let us know what the atmosphere is like.

I’m fully expecting the Ron Paul cult to cheat by busing in out of staters to screw up the vote.

And THANK YOU in advance.
