I am looking for a real definition of the "religious right".
I am a "born again Christian" if there ever was one. I am also a lifetime Constitutional Conservative. I can quote a fair amount of scripture, but don't use it as an axe handle over my fellows. And yet I don't feel I fit into what I see the "religious right" as defined by the media.
So exactly what who is the "religious right"? Do they really have to be frothing at the mouth zealots? If that is the case, are there really that many of them?
Serious questions here.
That's the issue right there. The media (and certain liberals and RINOs) have set up a definition of the 'religious right' that is, at best, a charicature of those with whom they disagree.
To me, 'religious right' means just what it says. Someone who has a deep religious faith that guides them in all of life, including political decision making, and is a conservative.
