Hunter looks mighty protective of his rawhide bone. Hope your cute little grandson is his buddy.

Oh yean, my grandson is his buddy all right. However there is some competition between them. Hunter thinks he is a child, and when my grandson comes, Hunter wants to be THE child, so sometimes they squabble over food, toys, etc. As for the rawhide bone, Hunter expects us to take it from him and throw it, that is part of the game. Hunter has had so much love that he is quite safe around little ones. Now if I can just break him of jumping over our 5-foot fence...

Hunter looks bigger than he really is; half of him is fur :) He is much too well-insulated for Georgia summers, hence he sheds like crazy in the spring.

Yes, Hunter is quite happy when it’s cold. I can picture him sleeping in the snow somewhere.

Hunter also has a strong sled dog instinct. He wants to pull the sled very fast. And I am his sled.

They even smile as they are so happy to be running fast and pulling a load.
