I agree.
I used to attend a Bible study with a mostly black group of women (most weeks I was the only white face). It gave me a great appreciation of what these women were dealing with re their kids. It was sad, because they hated that gang banger culture and did their best to keep their kids away from it. But it’s really hard when they are surrounded by that.

Until the black community as a whole comes to terms with this issue they will continue to see large numbers of their sons in jail and their daughters pregnant at an early age.

I know plenty of upstanding black women like the ones in your church group.
However, they DO play a role in contributing to the problem by how they raise their children.Black mothers tend to LOVE their sons and RAISE their daughters. They spoil their “little men”(especially those that are light skinned)and won’t let them grow up and become true men.
Not only that but too many of these good black Christian women buy in hook, line and sinker to the whole materialist culture that Cosby warned about. Many of them do not intellectually challenge their children.
And on more thing-Stop gossiping with your kids like you gossip with your girlfriends. These kids have their own friends-they need a RESPONSIBLE adult in their lives.
