anticipated further improvements in the world food situation. Here are some
of its conclusions:
“World food production has more than kept pace with population growth and
rates of growth of food production show few signs of slowing. During the 1980s,
world cereals production increased by 2. 1% per annum while
population grew by 1.7%.. prospects are very good that the 20-year period
from 1990-2010 will see further gains.”
