Thought you would like this:

Thompson’s message to voters was the same as it’s been since he started a marathon Iowa bus tour Dec. 17 - that he’s the only GOP candidate with national security experience who also can win the general election.

“This is not the time to elect a president who needs training wheels when it comes to foreign relations,” Thompson told a crowd of about 60 at a his first speech at an Elks club in Mason City.

You can come out and support him now without blasting him at every step... if that is what you truly want.

I do like that. Thanks for sharing.
Wish that had been his message in the debates too.
I do wonder if he’s really driving home his experience as chairman on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and as chairman of the International Security and Proliferation Advisory Board at the State Department. These words ought to be the first out of his mouth right after “Hi, I’m Fred Thompson” every time he speaks.
