It may not be the “murder” of a police officer, but the perp’s actions cause the death of a “law enforcement agent” who was killed in the line of duty

The dog gave his life in the cause of justice. To me that makes the dog more human and certainly very deserving of a proper police burial with full honors.

As for the perp; I had an aunt who was very found of saying, “the more I see of people, the better I like dogs.”
