Expand your horizons. Fred Thompson isn’t the only answer here. While his policy positions are strongly conservative, he is quite frankly an unenthusiastic bore as a campaigner and speaker. I liked him in early spring 2007, but lost respect for him as he bungled his way through the rest of the year. Whether he likes it or not, campaigning is hard, necessary work if you want to win the party nomination. No one is just going to hand it to you. That what it seems Fred wants, sadly. . .
Who is the answer, newbie?
Who do you support?
I do not care if he walks on water. The simple truth is, whether it is fair and just or not, the MSM will tear him to shreds and make him an object of ridicule, a combination of what they did to Jerry Ford and Bob Dole. By the election, the MSM will have finished with him, and people will laugh when they hear his name.
Look, the POTUS is really not a very good job- It is generally thankless, and does not pay as well as president of a medium-sized business: Just what quality of people do we expect to attract, anyway?
Of course, people like Gore can use the White House to pimp various scams later on, I suppose...
