Imitating Duncan Hunter now, I see. Will Mitt buy a red pickup truck if Fred does well in Iowa?

He can blow his level playing field out his wazoo. He benefitted greatly at shipping the industry overseas at Bain. As a veteran of large companies, I don't want my president flannemouthing about how great that is.
Thompson, Rudy or John. Give me the lead survivor of these three.

Two-faced rhetoric from someone whose Bain Capital firm has a partnership with a Chinese defense contractor.

But, but...that was over six months ago...ancient history. You must be a religious bigot for calling into question Bishop Romney’s flip-flops....

Fred Thompson
The Real Conservative
For Republicans to win the White House, we must be united and have a large voter turnout . We must get the fiscal conservatives; national security conservatives; and religious conservatives to get behind a candidate who has the best platform for all of these areas. Fred Thompson, is the only candidate not alienating any of these voting sections, and can unite the party. Fred is the best hope we have in the 2008 election. Fred Thompson can win the general election, and rest assured the other party knows it. He unites the Republican constituencies and assures a large conservative voter turnout in the 2008 election.
On Gun Control and Illegal Immigration he hits a home run.
"When I am president, I will build a fence." ...Fred Thompson
"My idea of Gun Control is a good, steady aim." ..Fred Thompson

But, but...that was over six months ago...ancient history. And Mitt Romney left Bain more than 7 years ago when he left to run the Olympics. But hey, you have a perfectly good lie going, why sully it up by mention all of the facts?

He started early. The day after his election, he convened a meeting of senior advisers to talk about restructuring, with an emphasis on overhauling the way Cabinet departments would report to him. Later, he commissioned private consultants: Bain & Co. prepared an analysis of the states higher education system; BCG focused on health and human services reforms; and Deloitte & Touche tackled the uncompensated care pool, which paid hospitals for taking care of uninsured poor people. When, after just two months in office, he proposed spending reductions in his first budget, he told The Boston Globe, I went through every single cut with every single one of the executive offices and the Cabinet-level agencies. Its a process I am used to. Its the same thing which we did at the Olympics. Its the same thing we did at the consulting firm. In 2004, Romney even dedicated a day to honor venture capitalists, calling on Massachusetts residents to applaud the efforts of the many individuals who make entrepreneurship possible. From here.
It appears that he continued to funnel state money into his old company.

Excuse me, he left in 1998 which would make it more than 9 nine years since he left. At that time Mitt gave up control of the company and placed his stock in a blind trust. But, none of that is relevant to you, I’m sure.

He was a liberal RINO until six months ago, so your arguments hold no water. Will I vote for him versus Hillary, Obama or Edwards? Probably and very reluctantly, but let’s not try and claim that he is Reagan’s heir, shall we? I worked for President Reagan, so it’s hard for me to see a gaggle of RINOs claiming to be “Reaganesque” as it were. Senator Fred Thompson and Congressman Duncan Hunter are the current candidates closest to “Reaganesque” with the rest barely at all.

Mike Huckabee is laughable
Huck calls a press conference and shows the media the ad that gosh, by golly, he just couldnt bring himself to run. Along with expensively produced story boards and graphics.
Because he is, after all Americas Nice Guy regardless of the risk, regardless the cost.
Brennan at THE AMERICAN PUNDIT describes Huck's flip on the ad:
"Huckabee is so full of crap I can smell him from here. His strategy was obvious and simple: Announce youre pulling the ad at the last minute to show how nice and moral a person you are, then show it to a crowd of cameras and reporters so the content gets seen and talked about anyway. He may not know about the NIE, AIDS, immigration, foreign policy, or anything actually, ya know, important, but he definitely has the slimy part down pat.

Savage called Fred an old “glue horse” the other day, but then he added that he meant that in a nice way.
