“Today, we are a house divided,”
Yes, and a third party run by Bloomberg would further divide it. Duh. Unless by “house” he means the country. In that case his run would just be ruinous for the country because it would result in a democrat being elected.
Headline:
“Bloomberg says he’ll lead the new WishyWashy Party to victory in November.”
I don’t know. Jon Anderson didn’t hurt Reagan any.
It seems that the definition of “moderate” must be a socialist, moral relatavist, who is isn’t quite ready to quote Chomsky...yet.
I don’t think anyone who knows Bloomberg or his positions really believes that. I know it said R next to his name, but he’s a life long liberal Democrat who would hurt the Democrats FAR more than Republicans.
Bloomberg is a stealth Dem. Only by New York standards would he be considered a conservative. The Dems want somebody who will split the Republican vote in 2008, as Perot split it earlier, so that the Dem candidate can be elected
A visible interposition of God!
Bloomie would draw off the votes of those NE kooks who call themselves the GOP members, but are no farther right than Mao.
He would draw all of those so called NE “moderates” who are just to the left of Mao.
That what he won with in NYC and that type of bleeding will cost the clintion millions upon million to fight for the formerly secure and cobalt blue NE states.
Bloomie couldn’t get the votes of two dogs and a pig in the Red states, and that combination may well sink the dems in 08.
