I never said he did.
However, in the DesMoines Register debate, each candidate was asked what he would do in the first year of his presidency. Romney replied that he would (among other things) see to it that "every American had health insurance", which is what he did to MA with his health insurance scheme. So you're right, he never advocated national health care, but then I never said he did (go back and reread my post). But he did threaten to impose his MA scheme on the nation.
