"...but they're still campaigning."

In a church? Doesn't that violate some sort of leftist state separation law?

Not unless you are the "Religious Right" according to the website of the "watchers".

In other words they are HYPOCRITES and LIARS! It's not about 'church' it's about politics and getting liberals elected. It's just another liberal front disguised as a non profit organization.

Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United. He is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and a prominent leader of the American religious left. From 1984 to 1991 he was legislative counsel for the Washington office of the American Civil Liberties Union. After law school, he continued to work with the United Church of Christ in their mission to gain amnesty for draft dodgers.

Whenever you see that face remember he is a hypocrite and a liar!

"a non-sectarian, non-partisan organization"

Lynn, president of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, has declared war on the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 6, because it has been taken over by the "Religious Right."

Lynn's biggest complaint with the National Day of Prayer is not that he thinks it violates the constitution, but that "Religious Right forces are using the National Day of Prayer as a vehicle to promote a controversial religious and political agenda."

Barry Lynn is executive director of the liberal group Americans United for Separation of Church and State, which often urges the Internal Revenue Service to investigate ('right-wing') churches that engage in partisan political activity. Lynn says he has not yet determined whether the "pulpit-based electioneering" that took place in (fill in the blank for LIBERALS) Sunday violated federal law that bars churches and other non-profits from endorsing a political candidate.
