Police Arrest Their Most Wanted Man But Judge Promptly Releases Him (Where's The Beef? Alert)

Police arrested their most wanted man on Sunday, but suffered a setback when a court swiftly ordered his release.

Amir Mullner was arrested near a Ramat Gan shopping mall early Sunday morning, along with four associates. Police said the men were suspected of conspiring to commit a crime.

But when Mullner was brought before a judge to extend his remand, the latter released Mullner, saying police evidence was only barely indicative of the suspicions against him.

"Where's the beef?" If the police don't have sufficient evidence, you gotta be let go. The judge in Israel made the right call.

The branja yes, they run the country. In my youth, the Jerusalem Post was a mouthpiece for the Labor Party and the Left. Its changed since then mostly for the better.

My sense of the Jerusalem Post after reading their articles posted here for many years is that it’s reasonably fair and balanced. Sometimes biased liberal, sometimes conservative, but not one-sided like most of the MSM.

Caroline Glick, the paper's Deputy Managing Editor is a conservative. She posts on Townhall as well as on her own blog.
