If you feel bloodelines are a sign of good leadership ability, why not just push to get rid of elections and just let us have a royal family?


Bloodlines don’t always succeed in their attempts as the heir apparent. Two examples from the Congress come to mind in the recent years..... Dick Armey and Billy Tauzin retired and had their sons rejected by the locals when they attempted to follow in daddy’s footsteps. You never know how the populace will react.

Actually, with sons (and daughters) taking a spot once held by a parent I would say they are more successful then not. Which is a shame. Now as far as siblings go, the only good thing about President Bush’s sagging poll numbers and his stance on immigration is that it has pretty much insured we will never have to endure Jeb Bush in the White House....Ever.
