Let’s be realistic. Duncan has zilch chance at the top of the ticket (although I may wish otherwise). Thompson is surging and is electable. There is a marked difference in personalities between the two, but, in the matters that count, their views are virtually identical.
By comparison I can offer you Ben Stevens of Alaska, likely going to jail, possibly followed by his Daddy, Sen Ted Stevens. Or Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Being looked at. When her daddy, Frank, became Gov. and had to choose someone to replace him in Senate.....he did a careful months long search assuring everyone there were lots of qualified people in Alaska.....and then chose his daughter.. Let’s face it, they are counting on the name recognition factor to garner alot of votes. Personally I would like to know what offices he has held leading up to the congressional one. None? If so, other possibly more experianced candidates should not be dismissed simply because they are not name Hunter. And of course he has a right. But if the only qualifier you need is the last name, you are a uninformed voter. The family name, son of, thing has given us politicians like Al Gore. Look at Shrillary. Without the name Clinton an former first lady status she would not be a senator or a Presidential hopeful.
