The Sheriff is the Highest elected official in his county!
What bugs me is he is convaluded in his Christian thinking!

I read the article in the Washington Post and was disappointed that you are looking beyond your own bathroom mirror for leadership on the illegal immigration issue.
Here is one Sheriff who has taken his authority in his county, he is a strong Christian man...........................

The truth of the matter is as Sheriff Beck puts it, YOU Sheriff Krukow are the most powerful elected man in the county. You say on your website that your mission is protection and services to CITIZENS.
Please do not confuse being a Christian to being soft on crime.

I suggest he take a close look at what Fred Thompson has offered by way of illegal immigration policy proposals. He will like what he sees.
If this Sheriff was serious about his beliefs, he would not send any child to college today.
College gets kids drunk, gay, and liberal.
If he is seeking a leader who CAN halt illegal immigration then that is easy. They all CAN do it. If he is looking for a leader who WILL halt illegal immigration, he is going to be extremely disappointed. It isn’t going to happen.
I have read that his fellow Iowans are very concerned about illegal immigration and list it among their top issues. I don’t believe that they are all that concerned, and if so, the candidates they are supporting certainly do not reflect those concerns. Not one candidate running has had any concern for border security until they chose to run for president except Duncan Hunter. If he and his fellow Iowans think carefully crafted position papers and a lot of talk will secure the borders, then they are on the right track. If they truly want secure borders they will show up and vote for Duncan Hunter. We will soon see if they really want what they say they do.
