"Passport to the World's Celebrations."

LOL... It's interesting that they use the word 'passport' when many of the people who grow the flowers and decorate the floats do not have one when entering the US.

I don’t know about the actual growing of the flowers, but those of us who were there this week decorating the floats were all-American (Lutherans, Oddfellows, and other volunteer groups). Decorating the floats is a real experience. Afterwards you forget how tedious it is, cutting up tiny petals for hours on end, and volunteer the next year!

Dunno about the growers but the overwhelming number of float decorators are high school aged kids typically there with church groups, Kiwanis, etc. It is far from what you’d call a haven for illegal aliens.
