If elected, Romney can be an effective president. So can Mccain and Giuliani. I don’t think Huckabee could be more then Carter 2. Hunter seems like a cipher and disappointingly Thompson hasn’t made his case.

In 2008-2012 we’re going to need a strong president. It’s no time for an Obama or an Edwards, and Hillary just might be a little too strong. People need to keep their eye on the ball. Which I suppose is asking too much really for FR 2008.

I suggest that we all wait till after Feb. 5 to see if Mitt, Fred or John is really the choice and if Rudy makes some splash. Look, I just pray that we unite behind the ticket and stop this one issue voting and blabbing about how all our guys are just like Hil or Obama. That is patent nonsense for anyone who understands politics, has worked precincts and been around for 50 years. I have and I will support the ticket because no Dem leftist socialist pacifist is worth losing American sovereignty to Islamofascism. Or to one worldism or to the UN or to a Third World mentality. All of our guys, excepting Huck perhaps will protect the nation. Rudy will do it better but I think so would McCain, Mitt or Fred. And with Duncan as our SECDEF in a Pub Admin., we can be sure of it.

You have to be kidding if you think Senator Thompson has not made his case.

- May I suggest you re-watch the debates.
- Then go to ‘On the Issues’ and read about his positions - most of which cite quotes and op-eds from BEFORE he announced his candidacy.
- Then go to Senator Thompson’s web site and read his positions again.

IMLTHO anyone who states publicly that Senator Thompson has not made his case is either:
1) Already decided and looking for something to say about Senator Thompson since they don’t seem to be able to compete with him on the issues,
2) Uninformed and believing the MSM hype - shame on you if you can’t be bothered to watch the debates and/or research the candidates in depth for yourself, or
3) A paid operative of any number of campaigns which probably makes them guilty of both (1) and (2) (Partisan and uninformed simultaneously.)

This is the GOP primary - why the heck can we not at least agree to focus on the issues first and foremost? It’s all about perceived electability, meaningless endorsements, and personal religion. I’m beginning to become disgusted.

ISSUES DAM—T!
